There is a general strike throughout the West Bank and Gaza. All public services are closed from Monday 4th September. This includes the Emergency Department at Jenin Hospital who are only taking 'critical' cases. This is as a result of
public sector workers being unpaid for 6 months now, which is also linked to the international sanctions on Palestine.

Today the shops in Jenin are closed in solidarity with the public sector
workers. This is taking place at a time when the IOF are repeatedly entering
homes in Jenin and have killed 2 people in one week. One of these men was
being treated in Jordan hospital when he died.

Finally, the Peace Cycle comes to Jenin on Thursday 7th September and Yousef
will meet them. That is likely to create a bit of a party in Jenin!

Yousef sends his love to everyone, including those of you who have sent him
messages of support who he has not yet met. And looks forward to seeing you
in November.
